| George
Zartarian started business as a sole entrepreneur buying
and selling various groceries, foodstuffs, clothing,
and home products. In the late 1940's GPZ started to
import products and distribute with customers all over
Cyprus. Over the years he tried many products, but gradually
he specialised in home products and became the exclusive
importer and distributor of several well-known brands
including Prestige, Moulinex, Pyrex, etc.
In 1967, George Zartarian established Zartarco Ltd and
in the following years the business grew with new products
in housewares, catering, electrical appliances and packaging
materials.
In 1985, after completing their university studies abroad,
Parsy and Garo Zartarian joined the family business
and improved management systems, expanded the customer
network, increased the product range, and increased
marketing activities.

| Zartarco
is managed by Parsy Zartarian-Chairman and Garo Zartarian-
Managing Director, assisted by a young management tm
consisting of purchasing manager, sales manager, marketing
manager, service manager and financial controller. Our
dedicated and qualified staff of 25 include administration
staff, storekeepers, salesmen, technicians and deliverymen.
With centrally located head offices, warehouses and
workshops in Nicosia we serve our wholesale customers
with products, spare parts and after-sales service.
We believe that people make the difference. Therefore
we consider our human resources as one of our most valuable
assets and we invest in their development and training.
The expertise of our people coupled with our marketing
effectiveness have been important factors to our success.

| On
a weekly basis our salesmen call on over 500 outlets
including electrical shops, supermarkets, department
stores and pharmacies throughout Cyprus. With computerised
stock and accounting systems we provide an efficient
delivery service and reliable after-sales support to
all customers in all towns. We advertise on TV and in
magazines and participate in exhibitions to promote
our brands. We sell over 50,000 electrical appliances
and 200,000 non-electrical housewares per year. Our
evidence indicates that on average every Cypriot household
buys at least one Zartarco product every year. Our years
of advertising and our track record has created a strong
consumer and trade reputation as a supplier of "quality
products with reliable after-sales support.

| We
believe in building strong long-term relationships with
our suppliers through communication and sharing of knowledge.
We aim to create value and benefits for our suppliers
and customers by offering excellent service before and
after-sales. With this policy we have succeeded in achieving
high market shares for many products. We are now seeking
to find new suppliers to expand our product range to
include the following product categories :
- consumer electronics (tv, dvd, hifi, cameras)
- telephones (gsm, dect cordless and fixed)
- electrical accessories (plugs, adaptors, etc)
- consumer medical products (thermometers, blood pressure
meters)

| Our
goal is to achieve sustainable growth by building on
our infrastructure, human resources, and expertise.
Some of our plans for the next 24 months are the following:
- to establish "Zartarco Service Centres"
in all towns to display our
products and provide after-sales support and parts
- to build new central offices, warehouses and workshops
to improve our
logistics and reduce further our distribution costs
- to expand into online shopping and online consumer
advice about our
products, instructions, tips and recipes
- to enhance our dealer network with marketing support,
loyalty programs,
in-store display stands, etc
- to seek partners for cooperation or merger or acquisition
to achieve
ecomomies of scale, realise benefits of shared distribution
and expertise,
lower financial risks and lower overhead costs.

| In parallel to our
business in Cyprus, we have started successful cooperation
with distributors in nearby countries for 'DOMOTEC' branded
products and for other brands where we have approval from
our principals and there is no exclusive agent or distributor.
Our aim in 2003-2004 is to
expand our DOMOTEC product range available for export
and to actively seek reliable partners in East Europe
and in the Middle East to increase this business.
